Hello people,

I hate when a photo in a web page slowly appear, like if the image was made of "lines" that are loading one after another.

How to make an image show up only after is fully loaded by the user brownser, and thus, show up at once (I know the time needed to load the image will be the same, I'm just worried about this "effect")

Anyone know how to do that?

Very easy w/ JavaScript:

<html>
<body>
<head>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!-- Begin
image1 = new Image();
image1.src = "image1.gif";
image2 = new Image();
image2.src = "image2.gif";
// End -->
</script>
</head>
<body>
</html>

your talking about the files that load a low quality and then gradually get to full quality. These are most likely JPG files. There is an option you can configure into the actual file to have it load in full quality "blocks". If this is what your talking about you can use Paint Shop Pro to reconfigure these to load in "blocks"

If it is a Gif file.... try to make it interlaced... so it will appear once with a low quality.. and then quality increases by time...
