I have to use JMAIL as it is the only mail protocol my host supports. They have given me an example script for sending HTML form contents as an email. It begins:

<%
smtp_server_address = "localhost"

Does this mean I use localhost as the smtp server when configuring the forum?

you need to ask your webhosting company for your SMTP address. the smtp address look like   something.yourhostname.com  go to your hosting company FAQs and the address should be somewhere on there.

Then type that in as the SMTP srever address, if it then doesn't work go back to your hosts and ask them for the full SMTP server address.
