I'm getting the HTTP 500 error when trying to load the Forums. Could this be due to that the Server.MapPath(strDbPathAndName) is retrieving sth. like file://\\xxx.xx.xxx.x\Hostings\MySite\MyFolder\Forums\admin\mdbName.mdb - \\xxx.xx.xxx.x\Hostings\MySite\MyFolder\Forums\admin\mdbName.mdb  ? If that's so... how could I fix this? I gotta say that this has been working before, but my ISP changed some configuration and it's not working anymore.

Turn off friendly http error messages in IE so you get what the error is.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Could not use ''; file already in use.

/Horarios/Forums/common.asp, line 227

And that line would be:

'Query the database

 rsConfiguration.Open strSQL, strCon

This is a database problem on the server, contact your web hosts.

I believed so. Is it a permision's problem? Would R-W-X permissions be enough?

On a windows web server you can not change or view permissions with FTP, this is something your web hosts needs to do directly on teh web server.

Thanks... but I knew that already. My question was because they're kinda stupid and I should tell them what I need or else it won't work.

You need to have read, write, and modify, permissions given to the IUSR account on the folder containing the database and the database itself.

Thanks. I've asked that already! It's obvious they haven't done it yet.

I've taken drastic measures. I'm trapping the error, and if there's any... I'm sending an email to corporate support with all the needed information about it. When they get tired of these emails... they would look for a way to solve this problem.
