We've got a security application that has rejected a couple of personal messages recently. The log says:
"high bit shell code in the post data"
The three users who have encountered this problem - albeit intermittently - are utterly trusted, being, er, Me, the host, and one other trusted user, so they've not been attempting to hack anything.
Is there anything in the PM scripting that introduces high bits in any circumstance?

I had that happed to me some time ago and in my case, I uninstalled the standard 56bit encryption hotfixes after the 128bit where installed. This caused some needed files to be deleted. I just applied the http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/recommended/encryption/ - 128bit patch pack again and it was fine. It did not happed with the forum for me but the message was the same.
