I am in the process of migrating a website I made with frontpage, to dreamweaver mx. I find the ability to use layers is PERFECT for web design.

However, the old site used the code "Javascript:history.go(-1)" for the back button. This no longer works with layers in dreamweaver.

Is there some way I can simulate this now that I am using dreamweaver?

NOTE: I am not loading new url's, simply hiding and unhiding layers. If I press the back button I dont want a new url to load, just the previous layer.

Simple anwser don't use layers as they only work in a few browsers and not the same in them all.

Also post in the correct forum.

Won't work...the back button is for the browser, and it will take you to the previous page that you were at. All your layers are on the same page...

Yep, and if I get you right .. u can view javascript tag in view>show>layers or something like that.

You can always preview to see if it works.
