Hi,

What im trying to do is save a remote file, for example a image off another website to the local hard drive of the server using ASP.

For example id like a smilie bank kinda thing on my forum where people can add smilies to it. So they could enter the path of a smilie on the web they have found, and the ASP pulls it across and saves it in a directory on the servers drive where all the smilies are kept.

Will that work?

actually FSO would be backwards....

You'd wanna use something like XMLHttp to get the remote image and there is a ".Save" method of it that can save it to your server
