HI. First of all I am a complte idiot at asp so what I am going to talk about may allready have been done or may not be possible. I have looked at all the WW apps and they are excellent, they do exactly as they claim but i find a shortcoming. For the site I have in mind I would like to be able to integrate the functions together so the flow would be something like,,Sign up on the mailing list app, combine that to the login/password app.Maybe by using a common DB.Probably still need to manually allocate passwords. This could then feed back to the mailer for mailshots, newsletters, etc. Some crosschecking in the DB cos there allways some aso that likes to enter 17 times. Use cdonts at some point to advise of new entry. All apps appear to have thier own DB, would be sweet if they could all use a common one. I guess the fields wold need some thinking about, and it would need to be able to absorb existing DB's,but then there seems to be some very smart ppl in here.Perhaps one o you guys would like to give it some thought.

HI.

It would be good if for example the mailing list app took the new "registration"and passed those details to the login script. Passwords could be manually inserted to achieve "site security". The mailing script could then use the mailing list of E adress's held by the login script or by the mailer to send newsletters etc. In other words, using one DB containg the new "registrations" read by both the mailing and the login script. I set up a dummy system but found that I had to access both DB's and manually mess with the data, which of course is very dangerous. Reda some about access and it can be done but is way beyond me.I got lost when studies led to Forms populating databases!!  Hope that aint too confusin!
