When developing ASP software, is it best to recycle one adocon connection throughout the whole page, or is it better to open then close, open the close throughout the page?

Recycle of course!
If you don't close it later, after couple of times thr DB may crash and corrupt...

It's best to only have one connection to the db, also if you can use the same recordset through out the page, by closing it after each query, but don't drop the object it will also speed up the processing of the page quite allot.

but DON'T forget to release all objects at the end of the page or you will slowly use up all your sites allocated memory and your site will get slower and slower till the server resets itself.
