I'm making a small login/membership app for a friend.

Should I use normal cookies or session cookies to hold the username and access variables?

Session cookies seems to be more secure, but I'm not sure...

Actually most e-commerce sites use regular cookies.
My suggestion is to use cookies, but don't store any sensitive information in the cookies. YOu should never store sensitive information in the cookie.
