Are you able to create a com component (.dll) and then Initalize other com components with that component? Example:

Dim conn
Set conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")

Yes, you can do that. Actually done quite often to have one component that just calls others, that way a web solution does not have to be update if components get updated.

cool, even better. i'm going to create a com component so i can just say something like

Dim conn
Set conn = Server.CreateObject("Connection.JOKES")
conn.open

if i wanted to say conn.open, would i have to create a method?
