Ok, the default way this comes is with the logo at the left, and the links (active topics, memberlist, search, etc) to the right, mostly in 2 columns.

I was wondering if there is a way to place a wider logo (almost entire screenwidth) and put all the links below it in a single line.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

hi Kerino, I did this on my site recently, the relevent file for 7.01 is the navigation_buttons_inc.asp in the includes folder. Move the bit of code that displays the banner into a new html table of your own width and align centre, I believe there is a mod here somewhere that does it for you.
