Am trying to configure my forum but the number options in the drop down boxes for : Replies per page, Hot topic No. views, Hot topic No. of Replies and No. of private messages has disappeared.

When I click on update the forum I get :

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'CInt'

/wsf/admin/forum_configure.asp, line 105

What's going wrong here please, and what can I do about it ?

What version are you running.

Also to get this error it sounds like the database is not correct. Make sure that the table in the database tblConfiguration contains values, if not then you may have deleted this by mistake or the database has become corrupted. Redownload the forum and start from afresh.

Hi BoRg,

Version 6.34.

Am getting my brother to check the database, it's on a physical path on the server somewhere, might be a while.

It was all ok until I changed the forum folder name to wsf in order to sort out the missing dot with CDONTS problem.

What's to say the same thing won't happen again if I start again, I'm using Frontpage, is that likely to be causing any problems ?

Re-published everything, all seems fine, ie have got the numbers back, e-mails work.

For the record, this time I changed the name of the forum folder before pasting into Frontpage, which I think must have caused the problem.

Thanks for your help again chaps.

Chris.
