I downloaded a Javascript files recently, but it's far too big (25KB)......it takes 4 secs to load with 56k, and that's just too much time. Does anybody know of a way to compress .txt/.js files?

i don't think so.  even if you could compress it, the client computer would have to have a way to decompress it to run it.
