Hi !

I am using version 7.0 beta 3 , the url is http://www.pucit.us - www.pucit.us

The problem is that every user of the forum has to refresh the pages manually , even if you change the option of Internet explorer to Refresh page every time you visit the site , then too page do not refresh

any body got any idea about it please do tell ?

If you are going through a proxy server this can sometimes cache pages, if this is the case don't use the proxy server anymore.

Your hosts may also cache pages to save on bandwidth and server processing, so it maybe worth contacting them.

Its not the proxy problem or cache problem , because it happens with almost every user of the Forum it happens when i remove the proxy as well , on the same host other ASP web pages refresh themselves whereas forum do not

The pages in the forum are set to not cache.

It must be some setting you have on the server as no-one else yet has reported this problem and I haven't seen it with any other forum installations.

Actually i have the exact same problem. No matter what I do, page just wouldn't refresh automatically. Sometimes it requires to refresh "MULTIPLE" times to get it refreshed.

Every single user of my forum complaint about this problem. Does it have anything to do with the "open text file" refresh problem?

It is more likly to do with your web host caching pages, contact them about the problem.

True.

I had the same problem. I use IIS5 on Windows2000 Server and client is IE6.0.

Problem was in using server compression of asp files.

This is set on "Internet information services/Servername" + Properties + Master properties=WWW Service + Edit + Service tab + Compress aplication files Check box must be OFF
