I would say pretty good. I started playing about 20 years ago when I was young. I used to play for a band, but now with my career and everything else I do. It is just mainly a stress reliever!

Good to see some other musicians on the board.  I use the term musicians loosely with you guys since you are drummers...

I am a guitarst and have been playing a bit over 10 years.  My love of computers and music is really the route I'm trying to take my career.  I am in the beginning stages of converting my garage into a fully functional recording studio.

As money permits, I love collecting guitars...I only have a few because money doesn't permit all that often, but I love them all.

My main guitar is a U.S. made Fender Strat with tuxedo styling (black & white) and some SRV Texas special pickups in it.  I used to not the way it sounds, but my playing style has changed a bit over the last couple years and it suits itself nicely now.  Plus it's got an amazing neck on it.

I've got a few other lesser guitars, that either have some little thing about them that I like or have sentimental value.  I'm aiming to get a nice Les Paul at some point in the not too distant future.  My brother has 3 and despite the extra weight and feeling somewhat unbalanced, they sound incredible.

I've got a few amps lying around, but my main setup with the Strat is a Carvin MTS3200 tube head with a Marshall 4x12 with celestion speakers.  For the money, the Carvin is one of the best sounding heads on the market.  It's also dual channel with the best sounding clean you'll find on a head in the price range.  I like it anyway.

ONe of these days, a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier will find it's way into my possession, but seeing how expensive they are, I'll wait until the studio is making me some money.  My motto is let your hobby pay for you hobby.

Nice motto :)

I dont know much about guitars, except fenders and marshall are good :)  My friend has both, they sound very nice.

you gonna be getting a drum kit in the studio?

I've got an old Ibanez Roadstar II back in Canada. I fiddled with it and the action on it is super low and incredibly fast. My amp is a Fender Pro185. Mistake. Way too loud. Great sound, but total overkill. Of course, I'm stuck without my babies here in Korea...

Been dreaming about buying a new setup for a while now though.

As for drums, I do all that with software.

Oh, and for those that want / need (it's always that way with boys and their toys), check out Maven3D Pro at http://maven3d.com - http://maven3d.com . The trial versions available there are only 30 days and are save crippled, but I'll give you a link for the distributor evaluation version if you PM me. (Or you can find it at http://venturaes.com - http://venturaes.com .)

Cheers

All you drummers... The piano is the best instrument to let out your anger on.
