Can anyone recommend a decent printer (inkjet) for home use?

It doesnt have to be the best quality, more important are the running costs. At the moment I have an Epsom 680 - decent quality, but the cartridges are well expensive. In fact, I'd even say that the ink costs more than the printer is worth !!!

So, is there such a thing out there - a decent quality printer with relatively low running costs ???

i'm with KCWebMonkey! it looks like Mr. Caveman had fun with that printer. Its the latest in their technology (.0000001 Pages per minute). Just curious: how much does that printer cost?

I'll try to give an answer and i suggest a canon s520 that manage 4 separate ink cartridge so you can cange only one color at time instead of the entire colour  cartridge of epson and hp.

It's a good quality printer too, and if you have to print some photo it will do the job expecially with the right paper.

If you want a real good photo quality i suggets the s820, 6 cartridge and really good photo! and if you print a lot of colour pages/photo is less expensive than s520.

If you don't need colour i suggest a laser like hp 1000, a cartidge will do over 2000 copies!

I'd a very bad experience with this... they are consumpted very fast + when a color goes off... the whole printer become useless... + the cost of a one color cartridge ~ the cost of the whole four color together...

so from here.. I recommend Mr. Caveman's printer
