Hi,

I am using a shared SQL database and I don't want anything to happen to the tables already in the db. Will running this install do anything to affect my current database?

Anyway I could manually create the tables and then connect?

If there are any tables already with that name the forum setup would fail. You can specify a custom prefix for tables and sp's. None of your current tables will be overwritten with the setup file.
