ok i found out, it must be a bug in the script, because the file is uploaded in the folder, but not add to the site, still got the annoying 500 internal error

 Persits.Upload.1 error '800a001d'

Access is denied.

/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 135

This is weird, maybe more strict rules on IIS 6

I have turned all stuff on write, special permission and more

I have marked same fields in IIS 6 as i use to do in IIS 5 :(

There is something in IIS 6 i can't figure how to change Help please ?

Did you set the permission to allow IUSR to modify/write the uploads folder, and is iis set to use IUSR..?

If you've done all that then i'm sorry i can't help you...

yea, somebody with the right skills and tools can get access to your files and delete them...

If you had it working before then you had permissions to modify before.... the upload script makes a copy of the original and then delete it........ i haven't had the time to check it out in depth how it works but it's something like that...

This may have to do with the path to the upload folder when using server.mappath

Try this one in IIS admin:
Go into web site properties, click the Home directory tab, then configuration (for the application), then the options tab.
Try changing the value for "Enable parent Paths"

But the weird problem is.

The upload seems to work, the file or image i upload, is in the right folder, but the post/image is not to see, the popup that use to come and say done, is giving internal error 500 (permission denied)

but if i give the folder modify permission it works, but i don't like have that permission on
