HI. i run http://www.sdol.org - www.sdol.org and use your forums, which has 150 membrs and 300posts. i use v 6.4 something.

anyway, i want to change the forum to invision board (which i think is php)/

the guy who offered me this offer said the only way the database can be transferred from this forum to the new one is...

can you get a database dump into SQL format from existing db server? if yes, then i can write an application which will import the data from your existing database.

any idea???

Not true, you could script a transfer of the data from your current database to MySQL without a data dump, however I don't think asking here will get much help in doing so as most are focused on using this product.
