Hi, I have just installed a portal system for my site. It uses cookies to let users login, but if you click on a link in the menu (like download) once youve logged in the download page cannot read the cookie because it is in a diferant folder to the authentication page. This noone can use my new site. Is there a way to configure IIS or something to allow all cookie to be read from differant folders in which they were set.

Any help will be much appreaciated, Mart.

Sorry i have fixed this. I thought it was dodgy programming but actually it was zone alarm pro (my firewall) not letting cookies be passed on.

Just for future use ...
setting the cookie path to a folder shared by all the sub folder (or the root) will allow all the sub folders to access the cookie. By default the path of a cookie is set to the folder of the page setting the cookie.
