I've been testing my site on the the most updated browser
versions of Explorer and Netscape. I work on a Mac. I'm just
wondering why IE for windows is at version 6 while for mac it's
5.23.    Any idea if Microsoft will upgrade the mac version to a 6
soon? Just seems odd that any windows visitors to my site will
have an upgraded browser while I'm still lagging behind.   And
as a web designer, you're supposed to have the most updated
versions. Am I just being overly concerned about this or will it
present any major problems?    Thanks...

I'm pretty sure that Mac IE is the equivalent of Windows IE 5.5, at least from what I could see. This means that a lot of functions will still work, like they did in IE 5.5.

Mac Internet Explorer 6 has apparantly been halted because of Microsoft being jealous, or something like that... http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/29276.html - http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/29276.html

So I wouldn't be hoping for that any time soon. Safari is pretty good though.

(Didn't answer question).
