I'm sure it's my system "Server"

I get the same result from Server or remote.

I just noted this with older Ver. of Wiz Forum "Which i donated some $"

I thought that updating with the new Ver. would fix the problem, but no.

I have IE 6.0 to accept cookies from my site turned on.

Server is IIS 5.1

I also noted this problem starting around the time that i had to force aspEmail to run on server.

I don't get any errors, just takes me to /forum/default.asp?ForumID=0

& on left say's "Welcome guest"

Please help.

Steve

IE 5 and 6 has big issues with cookies.

Which means that you can't use any sort of domain forwarding, domain masking, IP masking, frames, etc. as these stop IE from correctly setting and reading in cookies which will mean that you won't be able to login using IE.

You will need to connect directly to teh froum in order for cookies to be correctly set in IE. This won't effect other browsers like Netscape, Opera, and Mozzilla, that do still correctly set cookies.

"connect directly to the forum?"

IE works correctly with all other sites.

I don't think WebWiz forums is the problem.

Database works correctly. "login works, check user name & PW"

I have a static IP for my "in-house" web server IIs5.1

I add a link from main page to forum http://www.mywebsite.com/forum/ - www.mywebsite.com/forum/

I installed & Un-installed a SF Firewall a day before this problem.

Please explane ""connect directly to the forum"

Steve

IE has problems setting cookies if you use Ip masking, domain name redirecting etc.

If have a static IP for the site try using that to connect directly to the forum and see if that allows IE to correctly set cookies.
