Does anyone have any pointers or advice on which SMTP mail server to use, or how to connect ASP to an SMTP mail server?

What I'd like to do is to grab email from the SMTP server and process it in an ASP page. I'd also like to be able to send mail to the SMTP server through ASP using the IMAP and POP3 protocols. Any ideas there? Or am I smoking crack?

well you can't 'grab' mail from a smtp server, you would have to use a pop3 server. And Im pretty sure you can't send mail using pop3 protocols you just use smtp...

And hence we see the problem...

Sending mail is trivial. Getting mail is the problem. Any ideas?

The POP3 component is not a free component. It is a 30 trial component.

Looks pretty good at a quick glance. And $30 isn't really a lot of money anyways. I don't mind paying for stuff that works. (I donated to WWF too - Blatant plug for those who haven't - a few bucks shows a lot of appreciation...)

Has anybody used it? Any comments on it?
