I need to verify that ASP is running on my Windows 2000 Server.  I checked Services and it's not listed.  Is there any other way I can verify that's is running.

ASP is not a service, it is merely a dll used to service requests. Like phil said, put a page as
<%
Response.Write "Hello World"
%>
name it default.asp into your folder and see ...

Thanks for your help guys, I tried this and nothing happened.  I'm not sure I have IIS setup correctly.  This is the first time I've setup it up and I really don't know what I should be looking for or changing.

how did u access this page? from the local server 127.0.0.1 or what?

I think asp is supported by default in Windows 2000 Server.

Yes I acessed it from the local server.  I believe you are right about asp being supported by default in Windows 2000 Server.

I think what zMaestro ment is did you use http://localhost/page.asp - http://localhost/page.asp or did you open the file with file>open in IE??

Yep that's the way I typed it.  I just don't know what to do.  I've read all the stuff you sent me earlier on MS's technet.  I did have some things wrong that I corrected.  I didn't realize this was going to be so difficult.

its not difficult.. you botched the implementation

try uninstalling IIS, and then reinstalling it (there is nothing else to do!), and simply going to http://localhost - http://localhost should bring up like 2 windows welcoming you to IIS 5.0 (and yes, one of these is an .asp page)

I unistalled IIS and reinstalled it.  I was getting the 2 windows.  I had already patched this machine and when I uninstalled IIS and reinstalled and patched again it corrupted on of the windows because it won't come up now.
