Mr. Corkhill uses the form:

<head>
<meta name="copyright" content="Copyright (C) 2001-2003 Bruce Corkhill" />
<title>

is there a reason for this as it may interfer with search engine robots placing the copyright before the title. and using the /> instead of just >?

will it hurt to alter this. That is to place copyright below the <title> and delete the / from the >?

thanks

It won't make any difference. And the /> is to make it compliant with XHTML
