I have just upgraded from IE5.5 to 6.0 SP1 and my file download is no longer working as desired.....

Basically, every day I download a file from http://www.somesite.com/somefile.csv - www.somesite.com/somefile.csv . Before the upgrade I was always prompted whether to open or download. However, now with IE6 I no longer get the prompt - it just opens the file as an Excel type sheet within the browser.

How can I restore the original behaviour of asking whether to download or open ???

hmm.. did u try resetting ur web browser settings?

Tools | Internet Options | Advanced | Restore Default?
