I received the following message when attempting to upload an avatar to my message board at http://www.dhq.nu/search/forums/ - www.dhq.nu/search/forums/ . The error I received was:

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/search/forums/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 82

Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp - http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp .

Other people have been able to upload their images, I was wondering if its just that the image is too large? If so, maybe a bug fix would be in order that would give a nicer error message.

This error means that the upload component you are trying to use is not installed on the web server.

Contact your web hosts to findout what upload components they have intsalled.

All supported upload components can upload files and images upto a max size of 2mb which is the largest allowed size that can be set in the admin area.
