I'm using Jmail, the only available component on my host. Domin name is http://www.yslt.net/default.asp - www.yslt.net/default.asp and email server is mail.yslt.net:8383 my email address is mailto:root@yslt.net - root@yslt.net .

I filled all the information mentioned above in the email configuration form. Then I met 8000ffff when I try to post a new topic with Email notification.

However, the email works well when I try to send a topic to other email address with the address of mailto:root@yslt.net - root@yslt.net .

What's wrong? I've searched the error code within this forum and could not find any usfull information.

Can anybody help!!

It could be that you hosts have setup the SMTP server to only send to local email addresses.

Check with your web hosts as to authentication on their SMTP server.

Another idea is that (I am not sure about JMail) you don't typically include the port number as the smtp mail server name.  I would think that you would only use mail.yslt.net as your mail server.

You're quite right BoRg! I found if the sender's email address and the receiver's eamil address are both the local email addresses, the email function can work without failure!

Thank you All! Now I have to figure out how to do with my host.
