90 hours passed now since I received the request....

every year I'm forced to renew with them by $30 although my current registrar takes from me only $6.49...

What shall I do..? only 30 days for the expiry of the domain

I forget.. they commented:

Is this in other words means: "We will never let you go away from us?"

Ask your the registar you want to register with to help, or get someone else big involved, like your credit card company or paypal.

network solution in a pain in ass.. i registered a domain with them for a friend and each time i chage my DSN setting to point the domain to the hosting servers, the DNS settings would revert back after 24 hours and would point to the network solutions under construction page..

then i decided to transfer the domain and it made no advancement for 3 months or more  prety annoying where as my friend was getting pissed too..

finally i cancelled the domain registration with them and re-registered it with another register after 24 hours of cancelling.. when u cancell the domain registration.. the domain is available on the internet for regiostration again with in 24 hours or less

My current registrar says nothing in their hands.... Network Solution "MUST" release it so they can proceed.

My Credit Card Company or PayPal what shall they do??... if I canceled the payment or charged them back.. they will hang up the domain.

I did this trick last year... the site went offline 2 months, and still was unable to register.... THEY DIDN'T RELEASE IT..

when I asked them they said "We are holding it for you until you pay so no other one register it"

yeah its a pain.. i didnt renew my domain and they still didnt released it.. i was forced to renew the domain according to whatever terms they had first and then ask them to cancel the registration and release the domain.. caneclling registration doesnt refund money but benifits the moron sitting at network solutions.. BEWARE: network solution is a trap and one who gets in it will always find it hard to escape...

Change of Registrar for FALAHONLINE.COM Has Been Denied

Network Solutions has instructed the registry not to transfer the domain name registration to a different registrar because the domain name did not meet the registrar change criteria.

Specifically, the domain name did not meet the criteria because:
Your intent to change the registrar of your domain name to OnlineNIC, Inc. was not confirmed.

so, i will have to pay again $35 for the THIRD time... which worth a 15 YEARS registeration with my current registrar

Isn't there any one BIG can solve this problem... I don't care.. I'm not paying from my pocket.. it is the client who is paying... but the whole matter is really bad... who own the domain... ME or THEM.. so if the name is famous or worth a worth.. can they prevent ME the owner of the domain from selling it!!!

I here must give a thumb up for http://www.godaddy.com - GoDaddy , once i registered some domains from them for $8.99 before I settle with my current registrar who charges only $6.49, I made a transfer process and they approved it in 24 hours.. and their control panel is amazing...

But for Network Solution... they are charging $35 for a domain that's only $6.49, and in order to gain more money... PREVENT you from leaving them... they know they can't keep in market but by this way...

Have you tried submitting a formal complaint to InterNIC?
