If you are using the access version there is a migartion tool on the page you download the forum from.

Please read my last post:-

Quote If you are using the access version there is a migartion tool on the page you download the forum from.

Download this migration tool and follow the instructions on porting your data over from the old database to the new database, as the database between versions has changed a great deal.

The old database for v6, will NOT work with v7.

I did everything!  Migration tool and when I get in I try to go to the admin area by executing http://winprod2.ews.iweb.eds.com/cco/development/forum/admin/default.asp - http://winprod2.ews.iweb.eds.com/cco/development/forum/admin/default.asp  i get in but when I change anything I get a page not found.

It won't be a page con not be found, it will be 500 Internal server error.

Turn off friendly HTTP errors in IE, to get what the error is and a line number.

Also make sure you have compacted and repaired the database in access before and after the migration process.

This is what I am getting

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/cco/forum/admin/change_admin_username.asp, line 171

This is a permisisons error, make sure that the read only attibute is not set on the database before uploading also you will probally need to contact your web hosts and get them to set the correct permissions on the database to allow you to write to it.

You need to go to the admin area and use the resync post and topic count feature.
