Hi, i'm ron and i'm the WebWizHebrewForums Project manager.
i wanted to ask, when i recive an email from the tranlated forum, the words that should come in hebrew comes as Question Marks.

Like this:

???? ??????
???? ??????? ?????? Web Wiz Hebrew Forums
????? - ???????2
???? - 1212

By the way, it's plain text, not Html.

It could be that the email component, email client, or SMTP server can not handle the character set being used.

Weird, so you say it's not forum problem?
by email component is CDOSYS on Windows Server 2003.

It could be that you need to change the forum software to add a header to tell the server what character set is being used, but as I have only used western charaters I wouldn't know. maybe a search on google would give you a better clue.

Another Question marks Issue.
at words that going out of the DB to the forum in hebrew, we get question makrs.

like the:
newest member.
Month.

and so on..

It could be the fields in the database is not setup to use the Hebrew character set. Or the page coding when reading in data from the registration form.

Hi,
Old topic but I have a question on it...
If the forum software needs to be changed which files should be changed? Only send email in functions? Some other files?
By the way in order to see hebrew properly and to write it properly to the DB this line should be on top of every page:
<%@CodePage=1255 Language=VBScript%>

Hi All,
Well I have a solution in case anyone wants to know....
What you should do is add the following line to the send_email.asp file in functions folder:

.SetLocaleIDs(65001)
(that's if you're using CDONTS, I haven't tried anything else)

That will handle the characters in Unicode :)
