i know this subject has been discussed here but i can't find one regarding access ...

anyway could someone tell me the line which i think needs adding to strCon (my app not forum) i think it can be done...

any help will be appriateted...

Add this to the Connection string:
Jet OLEDB:Database Password=password;

cheers guys got it working
