Last time I checked this forum was about a year and a half ago.  I come back now and it still isn't in .NET.   I'm sure everybody knows the HUGE benefits of .NET so I can't understand why it isn't in .NET yet.  Anybody have any comments?

I wouldnt say the .NET forum a great forum ljamal.  It has incredible performance but lacks much functionalilty.

Borg, I thought you were in the web devlopment business or something.  If you are, then learning .NET would be invaluable to you.  Also, if you did learn .NET well enough, writing a forum would not be nearly as hard as writing this one in Classic ASP.

Scotty_32, you should try switching hosts.  My host charges 250 canadian a year and gives platform and framework for free including .NET(except SQL, it costs 75 a year).  There is a huge difference between ASP and .NET so it would be a little hard to explain in this post except to say that .NET is object oriented, class based, compiled code, about a 70% performance increase, and is actually a lot easier to program than VbScript.  (Also, .NET is not actually a language, it is a framework.  It's languages included Vb.NET, C#, J# etc.).

Jeez- Give BoRG a break. Chances are by the time we all learn asp.net, they'll be calling that "outdated and inflexible." Seems like there's plenty of high-quaility .asp database driven sites running, including webwiz apps.

I simply don't have the time, I already have you all hasselling me to finsh the next version of this forum, let alone find the time to learn a new language and start writing a completly new forum system from scrtach. This one here has already taken me around 3 years to develop.
