Can anybody help a newbie. I have enabled email address activation and I am having a problem with it. During testing, the WWF application sends the email to the new user asking them to click on hyperlink to activate their account. Unfortunately clicking the link returns an error message saying that the page could not be found.

However if I manually type the activation hyperlink into my browser, the activation works perfectly.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

I would be very grateful for any help

Well, going on what little information you have provided, I would say check your forum configuration in the admin menu and ensure you have set the right paths to the forum.

Thanks for the reply.

I should have checked the site path more closely, I suppose the only excuse that I can make is that my eyesight is failing, but that would be a pretty lame excuse.

The reality is that I didn't check my work correctly !!!

Apologies for wasting your time.

Now can you answer another question, do you know where i can purchase a 56" monitor.

you probably could... just get one of those HD wide screens and a computer to tv hookup

I have a question:

If user not get activation e-mail (E-mail server was downed or connection problems). �ow request new activation e-mail whithout new registration?

This has been added to the next version of the forum. Or the forum admin can manually activate members by editing the members profile.
