Can anyone tell me if the webwiz forums support MySQL and if so how do I do it. If not, will there be support for MySQL

No, it doesn't support MySQL.
There are no plans to support MySQL.
If you are willing to update some of the code, it can run with MySQL, but it's not easy. It's not too hard either.

Ok thanks. Just that I am using MySQL quite extensivley and dont want to go to the expense of using MSSQL, but I guess I will use MSDE instead then

Actually there are several forum applications that work with MySQL, although not so rich in features like this one. You can search on aspin.com or HotScripts.com

Zaboss. Thanks. yes thats why I was asking. I really like this forum and I am going to stick with it. I was(am) using PHPBB which is all PHP based but I want to start using ASP now.

I had a look at writting a mySQL server version of teh forum, but after around 20 hours I gave up.

ASP at present doesn't work very well with mySQL as mySQL doesn't support many of the SQL99 standards, also the myODBC driver doesn't fully support ADO. This means that nearly every page of teh forum would need to be re-written lossing performance and security.

So I decided it was best to stick with and optimise the code for Access and SQL Server.
