I have a problem with the forum i run on my website ( http://www.devir.es/ - http://www.devir.es/ )... I'm running version 6.21, it has worked without problems for more than a year... And now, suddenly, the information server program gives an Internal Server Error loading the default page, i don't know why... :-?

It could not be because too much messages, because we suffered a hacking attack some months ago and almost all the messages were trashed...

The forum goes up again after reseting the hosting machine, that's the only solution...

If anyone knows why that's happening or if someone knows where to see the forum logfile (if there's one), please, tell me.

And yes, i'm looking to upgrading to 7.0 but i don't have the time right now.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Turn off friendly HTTP error messages in IE and you will get what the error is which will help track down the problem.

An intermitent error like this that can be fixed by rebooting suggests a problem with the server, also check any other applications you have running on the site are closing all database connections and releasing all objects.

To Borg :

I have just put the friendly messages off (i have put it off at least 3 or 4 times, but...) I would put the error message when the forum goes down again...

To Dead Angel :

I have had some date format problems with other ASP applications (in Spain the date format is DD-MM-YYYY), i would track the problem, there's any easy solution ?? (upgrading to 7.0, i suposse)...

Thanks a lot for your help, guys. :-)
