Is it possible to put a search box on another web page that can search against your WWF?

I currently have WWF nested in a directory called 'forum' and I took a look at search.asp and could see the elements that make up the search boxes, etc, but could I simply plug these forms in to a web page one level up and it would work?

I am not that asp savvy yet, so any help would be appreciated.
