That was an answer doh, this mans father is my fathers son, so it would be me as "I" don't have brothers.

Well, If I am my fathers son, this means that mans father must be me.

So the one in the portrait is my son.

My answer is right because he wants to know about the man in the portrait, not yourself.

But Michael is the one that solve the real "tricky" thing.

Here's another one:

you are a prisoner in a foreign land. your fate will be determined by a little game. there are two jars, one with 50 white marbles, and one with 50 black marbles. at this point, you are allowed to redistribute the marbles however you wish (e.g. swap a black marble with a white marble, etc.): the only requirement is that after you are done with the redistribution, every marble must be in one of the two jars. afterwards, both jars will be shaken up, and you will be blindfolded and presented with one of the jars at random. then you pick one marble out of the jar given to you. if the marble you pull out is white, you live; if black, you die. how should you redistribute the marbles to maximize the probability that you live; what is this maximum probability (roughly)?

Probility calculation might leave you to more then one answer but I think the best probabilty can leave you at almost 75%.

Put all marbles but one white one in a jar. The one withe one in the other. You have a 50% chance of picking the jar with the one white marble, thus if you get that jar your chance of living is 100%. The other jar on the other hand there is a 49.9% probability of picking a white one. So using my rusty math skills it would equate to
(Prob. of getting jar one) times (Prob. of picking the white from 1) plus (prob. of getting jar two) times (prob. of picking white one from 2)
50% * 100% + 50% * 49.9 % = (roughly) 74.5 % chance of living....
Well that's the best I've come up with :)
