Hi,

Can someone tell me in what file I change the background colour of the Post Reply editor box. Currently it is showing as the same colour as the default text colour. Alternatively, where do you change the colour of the default text? thanks for your help,

I am still not able to locate this!!!

Down the bottom of the page in Misc' I have this...

'Misc
'----------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
Const strIETextBoxColour = "#444444" 'Colour of the IE WYSIWYG Post Editor Box
Const strImagePath = "forum_images/" 'Path to the forum images

...but there is nowhere to change the background colour or text of the post box. Alternatively can you tell me where to change the default text colour for the WYSIWYG box.

thanks for your help

What's wrong with you man???

Const strIETextBoxColour = "#444444" 'Colour of the IE WYSIWYG Post Editor Box

The font colors are on the default_style.css file on the includes folder...

the #444444 is not for the area I am trying to change, it is for the area around where I want to change. I need to change the colour of the actual box that you type the text into, which is white now, not #444444. Do you know what I mean???

My bad, you said the WYSIWYG box so everyone thought that's what you was talking about... I think the one you want is strTableColour, that will affect your post editors (both WYSIWYG and non-WYSIWYG) and also some other tables on your forum like the one with the forum stats and I don't know what else.

Cheers, that will help, though if its gonna affect other tables I'd rather just change the default text colour when a post is typed to be black. It is currently white. Do you know?

Thanks for all the help

I think the small one is smText and the otherone is Text (there's two font sizes on the post box) on the default_style.css file on the includes folder. Also smLink and Link if your hyperlinks are white too.

smText didn't do it I'm afraid. The easist would still be to change the background of the post reply box to be black so the white text can be seen? There must be a simple answer....?

As I told you smText will change the small text on the post box (where it says "Emoticons") and Text will change the other larger text, smLink will change the color of the small link under the emoticons ("more...") and a will change the color of the link at the bottom where it says "Forum Codes".

If that didn't do it them I'm afraid you've done something wrong.

Thanks for your help but its clear that I am not explaining myself correctly. I know how to change these text colours. I am trying to change the default colour of the text that one types when replying to a post. Currently the text is white and the background of the box that I type into is white too so you cannot see what you are typing! Does anyone know? Cheers

Ok, we told you how to change the background before and you said that's not what you was talking about and I thought you was talking about the outside not where you type on the WYSIWYG editor.

As we told you before the background is held on strIETextBoxColour on the skin_file.asp, if you got it set to #444444 and it's still white then there's something wrong with your forum. The text color is Text on the css file.

Alternatively you could open IE_textbox.asp and change line 210 from:

<body bgcolor="<% = strIETextBoxColour %>" class="text" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">

to:

<body bgcolor="Bacground Color Here" Text="Text Color Here" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
