OK you will all think Im pretty stupid for asking but I have to ask someone

when I use winzip to unzip the download there is 2 files called default.asp and the second one wants to overwrite the first

Is there a directory structure there that I cant see

how do i get around this

thanks

You must have a corrupted file or you're not unzipping to an empty folder... try downloading again and unzip them to an empty folder.

I wish it was that simple

no there definitely are 2 files name default.asp

one: created 29 Aug 4.47 530k

one: created 29 Aug 5.40 10,924k

this has happened to me before with some other scripts I thought it might be something easy

I am at an intermediate level with ASP having studied web design and VBscript

and am finally putting it into practise

by the way thanks for the prompt reply fernan82

there are 2 default.asp, one of them should be in the admin folder, the other in the root folder. it sounds like your copy of winzip is not maintaining the directory structure to me. isn't there a setting in the options for it?

OK I am stupid

there is an option for that

and yes I do look rather silly

thanks anyway

so theres a folder called journal in the root directory

then journal images directory inside that ...............right??

just in case your wondering  its in Actions - Extract then click or tick in use folder names

sometimes the obvious can be hard to find

thanks Im sure it will work now
