Everything on my forum is running PERFECTLY .. until "Admin" trys to post..    here is the error I get..

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e21'

Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.

What version are you running?
What does line 604 say?
Does it happen when replying to posts or new posts or both?

OK.. very odd..

I just changed the topic title.. and now it works.

could my title have been too long??   would that have caused it?

This error sometimes does occur if the data input is two long.

The subject title field in the database is much larger than that allowed to be input to try and prevent this, but the security filters do sometimes encode characters thus increasing the number of characters, in normal cercumstances this should be fine but sometimes as in this case many more characters must have been encoded than the database field size could cope with.

The max characters allowed in the text box is 41 and the database feild size is 70 so this should be almost impossible. Have you increased the amount of characters allowed for the subject of a post?

WEELLL.. now that you mention it.. I think I did change the field size for when a Poll is posted.  is that the same field?

I followed instructions found here.  and that was before I switched to SQL  so that could very well be causing the problem then..

You may need to increase some of the field sizes in the database relating to those input boxes you increased the size on.
