Hi again, still working on the email virus prob, thanks for all the tips.  Next prob is with my MSN messenger, when i click 'sign in' how can i delete the alternative log in names from that drop down menu, i only use one log in name, and the others i want removed.  Delete doesnt work, nor does turning off 'auto complete' in internet tools, any ideas on this one?          Thanks.

ps....i even uninstalled the program and reinstalled it but they still there grrrrrr

1. Start menu select Run
2. Enter: (control userpasswords2) without the ()
3. Go to Advanced tab
4. Select Manage Passwords Button
5. Add or Remove items at wil.

Michael, you're a wizz...thanks, was too easy, tho i would never have found that myself , i have another issue now.  On my main XP home screen, where u choose your name/icon thing to log on to windows....it keeps telling me 'you have 13 unread messages'.  When i hover my cursor over that, it tells me its for the hotmail.com account that i just deleted from my messenger log on (as instructed by you).  This was a friends log on, she used my MSN messenger once and her log on name stayed there, now that i managed to get rid of that, how can i get rid of her unread hotmail messages, which are appearing under my Windows log on?   I have no idea why it has associated me with her hotmail address.  Does that make sense?  Anyway, any suggestions appreciated, maybe the answer is somewhere in the <control userpasswords2> thing as well?  thanks.

I am not sure why it is keeping that, but you could just delete and recreate her account.

Hi, well I dont have TweakUI and i dont have Power Toys.........but..........that 'you have 13 unread messages' thing has miraculously disappeared!  Might have had something to do with clearing the same log in name from MSN???  I dunno, but im happy lol.   Thanks!
