The first step is to use the Search function to find the previous topics on this subject. It has been discussed multiple times.

The search function does find information on this topic, some of it ranges from very helpful to somewhat helpful, but much of it is irrelevent dialogue, wrong or just useless information. You have to wade through a pile of crap to get the information you need.

This question (among many others) is constantly being asked, and will continue to be asked...and with good reason. My suggestion is that there should be a definitive, step-by-step article on this topic included with the forum documention, and as a resource (a real page, not 200 posts on the subject) on this site. I know there will be people who don't read either and will ask the question anyway, but then instead of getting the ubiquitous answer of "search for this topic, it's been asked many times", a friendly link can be included pointing to the exact information! What a concept!

This topic isn't even covered in the ASP FAQ, although I think it deserves more detail than generally provided in that section.

My 2 cents on the subject.

You can use the upsize wizard in Access.

Also you will need to download the SQL server version and run the SQL server setup file to create stored procedures on the SQL server.

It's talking about v6 but the procedure it's the same.... Also when you're done make sure you don't have any duplicate Admin and Guest accounts, if you do then delete them.

Hi all!

I'm converting my wwF 6.28 with Access database to wwF 7.5 MSSQL. I first converted the Access 6.28 db to a 7.x db with your migration tool. Worked perfect! Then I used the UpSizing Assistant of Access to migrate the data to a local MSSQL db. Then I tried to move this data to my real db with the DTS Import/Export Wizard. It was able to move 8 table and the other tables had the following error:

Error at Destination for Row number 2400. Errors encountered so far in this task: 1

How can I solve this problem? Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Lorenz
