Are there any issues I should be aware of?

I have verison 7.01 running fine on IIS 5.0 (Access), but on IIS 6.0 I get a page not found when someone submits the registration form.  Can't seem to get rid of this by changing permissions.

Any help appreciated!

Simon Shaw

The latest version was built using IIS 6 on Win2003 as the test server so it will run fine on this plateform.

I doubt it's a page not foumd error, unless you haven't uploaded all the files, it's more likly a 500 Internal server error in which case turn off Friendly HTTP error messages in IE to get what the error is.

My guess is that it will be down to the setup of the email component as some versions on Windows 2003 don't come with the CDONTS mail component. Try using CDOSYS instead, or download the CDONTS.DLL from thee web and installing it on IIS.

Thanks for rapid reply, but its definitely a 404 not a 500.  Only get it when submitting a registration, whether email activation is set or not.

I'll first try installing 7.5 over the top since its so easy :-)
- and I was assuming CDONTS was there but perhaps not,
although this is server 2003 web edition so it should be.

If it is a 404 error then there must be a missing or corrupted file in your installation, try reuploading all the files again and make sure they are all from the same version as you should never get a 404 file not found message as there should be no dead links.

I have quite a few 7.01 forums running on live web sites under win2k3 with IIS6 for sometime now without any problems.

Thanks again.  Upgrading to 7.5 fixed the 404, and installing CDONTS made the email work.

Great software; free, highly functional, and with excellent support.
