Is it possible for us to just decide how many emoticons will there be on the side of the message writer?
or we'll have to mod it around a bit..?

You can simply change one line of code to increase the number of loops, at the moment I set it to 5 outer loops and 3 inner, anymore and you start shifting around the table structure which doesn't look very good.

Why not make a new table to the left of the Post Reply table and display the Emoticons there.

Do it like vBulletin dose.

I think what vdub was saying is to make the post reply on a seperate page, set it to 100% rather than a fixed number, and then it shouldn't mess with the table if you have it 5x5.
