Is there a way to skip to the new post in a thread (topic) when clicking the link in the email? I know phpBB does this.

Is there a mod for this?

Sweet. More non-answers.

Does anyone use this forum? Each post has a bookmark? Why cant it jump to the first new post in the topic when I click an email link!!!???

Those topics where closed tareq as you kept posting in them even though I asked that you open new topics.

If you find a problem or need a question anwsered could you open a new topic, by just jumping in mid topic it just confuses everything.

PS. You get the error becuase you are using access on a server that can't cope with the number of simultanious connections. Upgrade web server or to the SQL server version.

Right now I can get back to the original topic.

It doesn't support jumping straight to the post like in PhpBB.

The reason for this is more to do with a limitation of the db connection as to be able to know which post to go straight to we need to know the posst ID number, to find this out would require a lengthy processes of poursing while the database is updated, then requering the database to findout the new ID number for the new post.

I dont know why it would take more than one simple DB query.

Find the first post in a topic where post_time>last_login or something to this effect, and redirect the page to that bookmark.

If it is that simple then you could always make a mod to do this, but it is not something I am planning on adding to the forum.
