Hey Folks,
Does anyone know how to speed Windows XP up? I'm using a Toshiba 850 MHZ computer with around 376 MB of RAM but it still has a habit of slowing up considerably...I saw one most mentioning stripping the graphic interface but I don't know how to do that . Thanks.
Respectfully,
David.

I always find a faster processor and more ram speeds things up

Have a look at tweakxp.com they have quite a few tweaks on there on speeding up XP.

well.. no need to disable xp visual style.. it doesnt have any significant effect.. the worst power eater is the stupid menu and window animation.. and nonsense smootheness in menu and combo box sliding..disable all that and would work fine ..no need to disable visual style..

i ran win xp on a pentium 3 600 MHz ~ 384 MB RAM computer and it worked all fine when i disabled the animations and slidings ..

Thanks...I wish it was just as easy as buying a new laptop. :-P But right now I can afford the beautiful 2 GHz with 512 MB of RAM I'd like.

Respectfully,
David.
