I've got another problem:

When I open the admin login page, it doesn't show the secutiry images, so I can't type in the code.

I've uploaded the files just like they were when I unzipped them (except for the DB).

Anybody know why?

PS: Doesn't work with the regular forum login either - no pictures are shown...

TIA

Johnny J.

Does it show a red X or just nothing, right click where the pic is supposed to be and click on properties to see where the forum is looking for it...

try setting up a new database to run your new forum off of.

If there is no problem when you do that, than you need to make database changes to your old database or import your old database into the new one.

Try it with a database like (kmacy said) then if that dosen't work try doing a new install with the offical database

If you can't see the images it means that either cookies are not enabled on your browser or your site can't correctly set and read back in cookies.

Browsers can only read back in cookies if you are not use URL redierction, masking, frames, etc.

we had the same problem... it was caused by our proxy server.  We could access it fine from outside our college network, but trying to access it from inside is impossible.  so we had to turn it off and re-code the registration page to get rid of the security code.
