I'm learning about delegates in VB.NET, and they seem like they are a kind of way to simplify conditionals based on the state of a program at any given time.

Is that about right?

Must admit I haven't used them yet.

The closest thing I can compare them too were these ugly things called 'call-back' functions in (Access) VBA.

Delegates are type safe though so if you find a use for them, much more suitable.

Cheers,
Andrew

Multi-threading in asp.net is a bit on the complicated side, and not really all that necessary. Many people use delegates for creating pseudo threads for stuff like emailing a bunch of newsletters.
