I love version 7.51a
But I have a few suggestions for a future release...

I love the way, you have ordered the "Active Topics"-list, divided into forum-categories.

Is it possible to make the search results appear into forum categories also? Because when you choose to search in all forums categories, the topics just appear without any category information - and you have no idea where the topics actually are placed.

I know Snitz forums have this feature, so it should be possible in an asp-forum, right?

Another question: What about "Archived topics" - does it search through them? Snitz Forums have a "check box" if you want to search in archived posts, maybe that's a possibility if it isn't doing a search in them already?

The database on Sntiz is completly different so what is possible in Sntiz isn't necciasarily possible in another ASP based forum.

Yeah, you're right. I only mentioned Snitz so you could see what I was talking about visually.

This topic wasn't meant to be about Snitz - it was meant to be a suggestion for version 7.x. So you haven't answered my questions yet...

Do you like my idea, is it possible to make, and would you think about adding it into WWF version 7.x?

Best regards,
A big fan of your work

Even though I haven't got an answer yet for my other questions, I would like to add another question:

Why is it you get the information "This topic was posted on..." when you do a mouse-over on your search results? Why don't you get a "teaser" of the first xxx characters in the post instead - just like  normal posts? That's much more usefull in my opinion - the date, which the topic was posted on isn't really interesting when you have the "last post date" anyway.

And to sum up, here is my 2 other questions from the first post:

Is it possible to make the search results appear into forum categories like "Active topics" also?
Does the search-tool search through "Archived topics"?

I hope hearing from you.

If you want you can have ago, but at the present time what there is already is about as good as I can get the SQL to work without totally loosing performance as the SQL queries on that page are very complex.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Oh well, it's still the best forum available. Thanks for the answer
